Brick House Bones® Method Level 1 is a structured, beginner-focused exercise program designed to help you safely build strength, balance, posture, and confidence with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

This program tells you exactly what to do each week, how to progress safely, and how to move in ways that support your bones long-term.

This Program Is For You If:

  • You have osteoporosis or osteopenia
  • You want step-by-step guidance instead of piecing things together on your own
  • You prefer slow, steady, bone-smart progression
  • You are able to walk independently
  • You are medically cleared to exercise with light weights, body weight, and resistance bands
  • You want reassurance that the exercises you’re doing are appropriate for bone health

This program is most ideal for individuals who can get on and off the floor independently.

  • Elevated options are provided to support safety and comfort.

This Program Is NOT For You If:

  • You are currently recovering from a fracture
  • You require a cane or walker for daily walking
  • You have significant balance limitations or a history of multiple falls
  • You have uncontrolled medical conditions (severe cardiac issues, uncontrolled blood pressure, fainting, vertigo, severe shortness of breath, etc.)
  • You have been advised by your healthcare provider not to exercise independently
  • You are looking for physical therapy or rehabilitation

If any of the above apply, you should work one-on-one with a physical therapist or medical professional first.

Required Prerequisite:

Journey to Fracture-Proof® is required before enrolling in Level 1.

This workshop provides the essential foundation so you understand:

  • Which movements are safe, modified, or avoided
  • How bone responds to progressive loading
  • Why this program is structured the way it is

This allows Level 1 to focus on exercise progression, not basic education.

Do I need prior exercise experience?

Nope. This program is designed for beginners! You don’t need previous exercise experience or confidence — just a willingness to start slowly and follow a structured plan.

What if I’m worried about doing the wrong exercises for my bones?

That’s exactly why this program exists! Every exercise is selected and progressed with bone health in mind, and modifications are built in so you’re never guessing.

Is this program safe if I have osteoporosis?

This program is specifically designed for individuals with osteoporosis or osteopenia who are medically cleared to exercise independently. Safety and proper progression are central to how the program is structured. Modifications are provided.

Do I need to be able to get on and off the floor?

This program is most ideal for individuals who can get on and off the floor independently. However, elevated options are provided to support safety and comfort when needed.

What equipment do I need?

You’ll need light dumbbells, resistance bands, a mat or padded surface, and a stable chair for support. For your convenience, links to Dr. Lisa’s recommended equipment are included inside the program.

Do I need to complete Journey to Fracture-Proof first?

Yes. Journey to Fracture-Proof is a required prerequisite. It provides essential education about bone health, movement safety, and exercise principles so everyone begins Level 1 with the same foundation.

How long will I have access to the program?

While this program is designed to be completed over 8 weeks, you’ll have lifetime access. This means the program is yours to revisit anytime. No subscription is required.
